About this Recipe

This classic is simple and delicious. The Dry Martini recipe can be altered to include a Dirty Martini with one or two olives on a toothpick in place of the lemon twist along with a dash of olive brine from the jar! A good quality Gin is recommended. We suggest Bombay Sapphire, Hendricks, or, for a very special drink, Monkey 47.
  • 2.5 ozs. of good quality Gin
  • 0.5 ozs. of Dry Vermouth (Dolins is excellent)
  • 1 dash of Orange Bitters
  • Lemon twist

Step 1

Chill a cocktail glass by filling with water and ice and let stand a few minutes.

Step 2

In a mixing cup, add all ingredients and some ice and stir until cold.

Step 3

Then, into the chilled glass, strain the mixed ingredients.

Step 4

Garnish with a twist of lemon. Enjoy!
